About Crystal Clear Ears

Crystal Clear Ears first opened at Balwyn in 2008 and has since expanded to seven locations in Melbourne.

Principal nurse and director Shelley Straw is a member of the Australian College of Nursing and the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Nurses Group.

Shelley began her ear, nose and throat nursing career at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in 1981 and continued at the hospital until 2007. At this time, Shelley visited New Zealand to receive training in the ear cleaning techniques practised by Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists.

Shelley, opened Crystal Clear, Balwyn in 2008 and has since expanded to seven locations in Melbourne.

Our practitioners are Registered Division 1 nurses.

Our Registered Nurses have completed the Nationally Accredited course in Micro Suction and Aural Hygiene (10770NAT) as approved by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) to be qualified as an Ear Nurse.

As a patient of Crystal Clear Ears, you will be treated by one of our caring and committed ear nurses with the preferred and clinically proven method of microsuction and aural hygiene technique.

-Have been tested for Covid-19 wait results prior to your appointment.

Important information you need to know when ARRIVING at your appointment:

Masks are mandatory. Proof of mask exemption letter from a GP to be provided, if an exemption cannot be provided it will be up to the nurse's discretion to review patients' symptoms prior to treatment.

If you have a persistent smokers cough, diarrhoea, nausea, shortness of breath or hayfever/runny nose, muscle ache/weakness, vomiting/diarrhoea we ask you to provide our staff with a letter from your GP stating that the condition is pre-existing and not COVID-19 symptoms.
