We suggest to our patients that softening the blockage is very important before the appointment. Softening with olive oil for 2 nights can lubricate the canal and soften wax. Our Ear Nurses prefer olive oil as a softening agent over any other softening agents in the market. However, it is important that you DO NOT apply drops if you have a hole in your eardrum or grommets.
Read here the detailed instructions: How do I apply the softening drops?
Please Note: Don’t worry if you have been using another product or have forgotten to apply the oil; just come in for your appointment.
