While each of our clinics provides full access, please note how we safely manage treatment for patients:
- The Ear Nurses can treat patients who are able to self-transfer from their wheelchair to the examination chair.
- We also welcome patients who can transfer with the help of a carer.
- This process helps us provide care ensuring your safety and comfortability for both the patient and our ear nurses.
Important Safety Note
For the safety of everyone involved, if a patient is unable to transfer independently or with assistance from a carer, we may need to refer the patient to a more suitable care setting. This may include:
- The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (RVEEH)
- Regional Ear Nurses home visit service for further assessment and options
